Evaluation of Different Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Entries and Varieties for Performance and Adaptation in Mali, West Africa

Tomato is an important vegetable crop and plays a major role in the food nutrition security of people Mali. Production has increased recent decades but improvement fruit yield quality remains suboptimal. Limited access to best-adapted tomato varieties local conditions, pests diseases are limiting factors for improving productivity. This study evaluated performance different entries their productivity, resistance postharvest Twenty-two rainy season twenty-four dry were evaluated. Varieties that well adapted, better yielded, disease resistant with good identified. Major plant observed included yellow leaf curve (TYLCD), bacterial wilt, spot, early blight southern blight. However, TYLCD was problem during season. The variety Icrixina most affected by both seasons, although its total not remained one highest.
